A woman of many trades, throughout her 45 years in Taupo, she’s been a hairdresser (and owned her own salon) worked in interior design, owned an operated our art gallery and artists supplies for 6 years.
Since closing the gallery I have been involved with some of my artists when they are having workshops. Taking a limited supply of watercolours, paper, canvases, brushes and oils. I will happily order art supplies on request.
My new passion along with my beading is Art Clay Silver.
Since having workshops with Ingrid in 2010 I have exhibited with Active Arts Taupo, in October 2010. I received a Merit Award for the Trident piece and sold all 5 pieces. There was also a peoples choice award where I received a number of votes although another artist received the award. It is interesting to read what other people think about your work.
I have also been working on other passions. Card-making, knitting beautiful yarns for shawl/scarves, straight scarves, and sewing felted silk/yarns for scarves. Also recently photographic work. All of these items are made under my label Artenz Creations.
I am now working on replenishing stock and going to Art in the Park, Roberts Street Reserve most Saturdays (weather permitting) extra days for holiday weekends. There is also a varied group of like minded Taupo artists using different mediums.
This is a must see experience for all.
